Poon Hill short Trek has been the bestseller among the entire trekking package over the years. It may be due to the breathtaking mountain scenery and the beautiful ethnic villages. This Trek can be done throughout the year except for monsoon and is also known for the easy trekking that fulfills the dream to view the glimpse of snow-capped mountain peaks and the Himalayan culture. Ghorepani Poonhill short trekking trail give an opportunity to view amazing Mountain above 8000m including prominent Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri and some important as Nilgiri, Machhapuchhare, Lamjung Himal, Himchuli and many more green hills. Traveling through a dense forest of rhododendron, hundred’s species of birds, flora, and faunas with deep sub-tropical valleys has brought the importance of short Ghorepani Ghandruk Trekking. Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m)

From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will invite to visit our office for briefing about the each day program. Today you will receive your Annapurna Conservation Permits and TIMS. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Himalayan Aster Treks. For dinner, you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the country’s food culture. Overnight in Kathmandu.

 

Day 2
Fly to Pokhara and trek Tikhedhunga ( 1540m) : walking distance 3-4 hour

After having your breakfast, we will drive you to the Domestic Airport to take a 25 minutes flight to Pokhara, over viewing the superb sceneries. As we get pokhara, car drive for about 1 and half hour through large village Lumle brings you to Nayapul. The Ghorepani Poonhill trail follows the main streets of Birethanti (1000m), winding through the bamboo forests and past waterfalls with plunge pools inviting you for a refreshing swim. After lunch in Sudame we gently climbing up the side of the valley to reach Hille (1510m) and Tikhedunga (1540m), overnight in guest house.

Day 3
Tikhedhunga Trekking to Ghorepani ( 2775m) walking distance 4-6 hours

After having breakfast, our trek start with steeply climbing in the stone staircase up to Ulleri, it is wise to start early morning so you will not get swept, after reaching  large Magar village of Ulleri (2080m). You walk up besides the cascading river through refreshingly cool oak and Rhododendron forest. The day destination Ghorepani (2750m) is reached after about an hour past Nangathanti. Ghorepani is famous hill point to enjoy close view of snowcapped peaks. Overngiht at gueset hosue

Day 4
horepani- Poonhill (3210m) and trek to Ghandruk (1980m) via Tadapani (2560m): walking distance 7-8 hours

We make very early morning about a hour  excursion to Poon Hill (3210m), one of the best Himalaya view point in Nepal, provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. The spectacular panorama stretches from Dhaulagiri I and Tukuche to Nilgiri Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal and the Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhare) that make your breath and eyes caught.

Get back to Ghorepani about 40 minutes trek down, After breakfast trek starts descending steeply through dense moss-covered forest with rich bird life to Tadapani (2540m).You can encounter with monkeys and wide varieties of birds. The right-hand trail makes a short, steep descent among rocks to a stream crossing then leads out a ridge towards Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal. You can explore the maze like streets of this thriving Gurung settlement. Enjoy a good mountain view of Annapurna South and Fishtail.

Day 5
Ghandruk trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara: walking distance 3-5 hours

Today you gradually decline down to the village. The trail passes through small hamlets, terraced rice fields and subtropical forests giving a very beautiful glimpse. We will mostly follow the ever flowing Modi Khola along an ease and pleasant walk to Birethanti. The trail makes a steep, sometimes treacherous descent on a narrow path alongside the stream. The descent becomes gentler as the route reaches Nangathanti. We continue our walk to Nayapul and catch a private vehicle to get to Pokhara. We spend a beautiful night in Pokhara city. Enjoy the boating in lakes and the night life here.

Day 6
Pokhara-Kathmandu by Tourist Bus (6-7 hrs), 220km

After breakfast, transfer to Tourist bus station and 07:30am drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. This scenic drive offers fascinating glimpses of rural Nepal as you pass through Middle Hill scenery along the famous rafting Trishuli River originated from Tibet north east of Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu 02:30 to 03:00pm.Overnight in Hotel in kathmandu.

Day 7
Final Departure

Our journey in Nepal comes to an end today!  Himalayan Aster Treks representative will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight.
